The International Buddhist Society (IBS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1993 by Ven. Maitri Mahasthavir in Lumbini, Nepal. The organization's mission is to provide free healthcare and education services to marginalized communities in the Lumbini area, inspired by Buddhist principles of compassion, generosity, and social justice.

Over the years, the IBS has grown to become a prominent healthcare provider and educational institution in the region, operating several clinics and programs that serve thousands of people each year. The organization's focus on providing free healthcare and education is grounded in the belief that everyone, regardless of their background or socio-economic status, deserves access to basic human rights such as healthcare and education.

In addition to its healthcare and education services, the IBS also works to promote social welfare and community development by providing vocational training and other forms of support to help individuals and families improve their standard of living.
